Child Saving Institute History

For more than a century, Child Saving Institute has facilitated healing for children and families in crisis. Today, our 100+ employees provide vital services to the community from our building at 46th & Dodge.

At its core, Child Saving Institute exists to help children and families. We’re tireless in our mission to prevent, intervene and treat child abuse and neglect. We provide emergency services to children and teens in crisis. And we offer therapy for physically and sexually abused children. Additionally, we are a community leader in preventive family education, preservation and childcare.

Child Saving Institute also provides hope. We help to nurture a positive family dynamic by recruiting foster and adoptive families for children and teens.

Child Saving Institute is funded by private donations, government grants and contracts, and the United Way of the Midlands. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Child and Family Services. The CSI Childcare program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). CSI is a member of the Child Welfare League of America.
